Sabre is a German Shepherd, who was born on July 14, 2012 in Poland. In 2013 Sabre was purchased by F. M. K-9 and imported to the United States. Sabre was then purchased by the Valparaiso Police Department in February 2014 and partnered with Officer John Cordova. Sabre was trained in narcotic detection, tracking, and criminal apprehension. Sabre served the Valparaiso community until his retirement on June 1st, 2021.

During his time in service, Sabre was involved in multiple narcotic and cash seizures. Sabre was also part of a local narcotic taskforce which is where he sniffed out tens of thousands of dollars and multiple pounds of narcotics.
