K9 Alfa is a 9.5 year old Belgian Malinois. Alfa is a 46 pound rocket with all the confidence of the big dogs. Alfa recently retired from the Jasper County Indiana Sheriff’s Office where she served faithfully for 7.5 years. Alfa was a dual purpose, narcotics detection and patrol, certified canine through the North American Police Work Dog Association. Alfa was well known in the community for not only her efforts and achievements on patrol but also for her sociability. Alfa was an asset in community outreach as well. She was well known from her countless appearances at the community schools for demonstrations.

Alfa now resides with her handler and family in Demotte, IN where she spends her remaining time roaming their property and protecting it from rabbits and any other furry intruders.
