K-9 Ardo was paired with Officer Wilson of the East Hampton Police Department in August 2016. In December 2016 they graduated the 184th CT State Police Patrol K-9 Class. In the spring of 2018 the team graduated the 195th CT State Police K-9 Narcotics Detection Class. Ardo had success in his patrol functions as well as numerous narcotics finds. Ardo was also an ambassador to the community. His participation in community events and ability to interact with kids and the general public fostered many positive interactions.

Ardo is currently enjoying retired life at home with his family. He’s a very happy boy! The rest and relaxation are treating him well. He’s spends his days patrolling the yard, wrestling with his (dog) brother, taking naps and snuggling with his people. Ardo was a loyal and obedient partner on the road and has transitioned into a loyal guardian of his family and home.
