Nole worked at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in Minneapolis, Minnesota for the Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Administration. Nole’s primary job was to screen passengers and their property prior to boarding domestic and international commercial aircraft. Nole proudly supported the Minneapolis metropolitan area during the NFL’s Superbowl LII festivities. Nole is quirky, preferring a stuffed dragon as his primary reward instead of the trademark tennis ball or Kong. This made him easily recognizable while walking about the terminal, actively thrashing his toy from side to side. He had quite a following at the airport and is missed dearly by his friends and colleagues. He now spends time with his mom and sister at home, “helping” with daily chores and alerting the family to the presence of cars and people passing through the neighborhood.
Update: Nole is a 9 year old German Short-haired Pointer who previously worked as a Passenger Screening Canine for the Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Administration. His handler and wife adopted him immediately following his retirement and he currently enjoys living a comfortable life going for daily walks when the Minnesota weather allows, chasing rabbits in the yard, taking naps (lots of naps), and enjoying regular toy time.
