Canine Panka B158 has retired from federal service, having served the travelling public from August of 2019. Panka and her handler Pete Kligerman conducted Explosives Detection at their airport of record, O’Hare International Airport. The team also conducted operational duties at several Chicago Marathons, two Kentucky Derby’s, and assisting Miami International Airport for three weeks during the summer of 2024. Highly intelligent and affectionate, Panka will continue to be challenged with air -scent training at home, and a number of outdoor activities to ensure her continued excellent physical fitness.
