Trained in narcotics detection, tracking, and article searches, King used his exceptional drive and nose to support countless investigations, locate evidence, and assist in finding those who needed help.

Known for his nonstop enthusiasm, King thrived in training and on deployments, always eager to work, whether it was a long track on the street or a late-night vehicle sniff. Throughout his career, he demonstrated reliability, courage, and an unwavering bond with his handler, embodying the spirit of service that defines a police service dog.

After a successful and impactful career, K9 King now transitions into a well‑deserved retirement, trading emergency calls and training days for extra time at home, rest, and play with his family. His years of service to the Berwyn Police Department and the community will not be forgotten, and he leaves the street having more than earned a future filled with comfort and peace.
