K9 Cezar proudly served the Connecticut State Police alongside TFC Ryan Burke following their graduation from the 177th K-9 Patrol Dog Class in 2015. Throughout his career, Cezar demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication, assisting in the location of wanted and missing persons, criminal apprehensions, evidence recovery operations, building searches, and the protection of his handler and fellow troopers. In 2018, Cezar successfully completed the 193rd Narcotics Detection Class, becoming a dual-purpose police service dog. In this role, he participated in numerous narcotics investigations and seizures while providing assistance to municipal, state, and federal law enforcement agencies across Connecticut.

After a distinguished career of service, K-9 Cezar retired in 2021. K-9 Cezar will be remembered for his relentless intensity, remarkable work ethic, and commitment to public safety.

Cezar currently lives at home, where he happily watches over his two kids, Taylor and Connor, and keeps a close eye on his one-acre kingdom. Fully embracing retirement, he spends his days supervising the yard, patrolling the property, and ensuring everything is exactly as it should be—living the peaceful life he’s earned.
