Cliff was born in Netherlands November 22, 2013 and was imported to the United States where I was partner with him at Shallow Creek Kennels in Sharpsville PA. for k9 school in March of 2015. Right after finishing training he came back to Winnebago County where we worked together for 4.5 years. He quickly made a name for himself with his capabilities in tracking. Cliff helped seize an abundant amount of cash throughout his career as well as taking several millions of dollars of street value narcotics off the street. Cliff and I received extra training in SKIDDS/CATS and he also was added to our SWAT team shortly after that But again Cliff’s specialty was tracking; he even had a nickname from the guys at work known as Thomas the train. He helped capture and apprehend a large amount of suspects the fled and hide from us as well as locating several guns that had been disregarded during the process. Cliff’s most memorable deployment was on a missing/suicidal juvenile. The track was over a hour old and almost 1.5 miles long. The only way we would have located and brought the juvenile to safety was with cliff. No other price of technology would have been able to locate this juvenile and because cliff did he saved the juveniles life.
