Fuse was Kettering Police Department’s first in housed trained canine.  He started the canine academy in October of 2012 and certified in narcotics, evidence recovery, and obedience.  During his time working the road Fuse had over 600 usages taking drugs, guns, and illegally gained money of the streets.  In 2017 Fuse was ranked 4th in the nation in narcotics through the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA).  Fuse medically retired in May of 2019.  Since retiring Fuse loves running through the woods and long naps on the couch.
