K9 Luka #9055 is a 9 year old male German Shepherd dog who was trained in Patrol. Luka and I were trained through the Connecticut State Police and are certified through the New England State Police Administrators Conference (NESPAC). We were certified as a Patrol K9 team in December 2014. Luka was called upon countless times and located numerous criminal, missing adults and children to include Alzheimer’s patients and suicidal people throughout his career on patrol. Luka retired at an early age due to my retirement. Luka now enjoys his time at home with his family/ sister Maisy (yellow lab), long daily walks chasing birds instead of criminals and swimming in the pool.

Update: Luka is still in good health at 11 1/2 years old enjoying his fourth year of retirement running and playing ball everyday.
