K9 Odin was initially trained through Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at Lackland AFB for explosive detection. DHS/FPS procured him after him and I successfully completed TSA certification. He then went through a rigorous 12-week course preparing him for our agency certification which he completed in July of 2018. He has successfully been certified till his retirement in May 2024. K9 Odin has worked many high-value court cases, VIP details, Presidential Inaugurations, Republican National Conventions, Democratic National Conventions, bomb threats, unattended/suspicious packages and has kept federal facilities and employees around the National Capital Region (NCR) safe for almost 6 years.
