K-9 Patsy was named after country music singer Patsy Cline, and at a young age was accepted into the Vapor Wake K-9 school in Alabama. With her Vapor Wake degree in paw. K-9 Patsy continued onto the Chicago Police K-9 Academy where she met her human partner. Together they worked hard, and played harder, and at only 17 months old K-9 Patsy graduated the academy. K-9 Patsy and her partner were quickly assigned to CPD’s elite unit “Vapor Wake K-9”. From that day on they hit the streets running, and barking where she served the City of Chicago proudly with dedication and honor.

Update: Since retiring in March of 2023 Patsy has been enjoying time at home with her family and her favorite recliner. In fact she makes her handler jealous with envy when he heads out for work while she stays at home on a cold winters day. She enjoys going for nice walks around the neighborhood and talking things slow, really slow. Retirement life has been a blessing for K-9 Patsy. She is grateful to the team and services of Mark-9. With the Mark-9 resources K-9 Patsy is able to obtain the daily medications needed to control her seizures that she developed while in service. thanks, Mark-9!
