K9 Radar was purchased in 2013 by a generous resident of the Town of Kent. He completed a 17 week patrol school and a 6 week narcotic detection school and was certified by NY DCJS. Radar was credited with numerous narcotic finds in his career and assisted agencies from several surrounding jurisdictions. Radar also tracked and located several missing/endangered/fleeing suspects including the successful track of a 2 year old child lost in the woods. In addition, Radar served as an ambassador to our community, always willing to interact with our residents. Radar retired in January of 2022 after nearly 9 years of service to the Town of Kent, he is currently living at home with his handler and family.
