K-9 Ravi was born in May 2011, purchased from Vohne Liche Kennels. Ravi was trained in Narcotics Detection and Patrol by K-9 Defense, LLC in Phoenix, Arizona. Ravi initially served with the Glendale Police Department (AZ) in 2012 until partnering up with Deputy Christopher Somers of the McPherson County Sheriff’s Office (KS) in 2014.
Ravi and his partner served on Patrol supporting the agencies within McPherson County, the Special Response Team, Drug Task Force and other requesting agencies. Ravi was a force to be reckoned with on patrol and was directly responsible for the seizure of large amounts of illegal drugs, firearms, drug proceeds, and the apprehension of numerous dangerous felons. Ravi was retired to Chris in 2018 and relocated with his partner to Oklahoma where he enjoys life on 60 acres. Ravi has taken to retirement well, he enjoys napping and watching over those in his household.

Have been following K9 Ravi on Facebook while he was still working, and now get to enjoy his adventures in Retirement with his Dad. Ravi has quite the following so we are all happy that he was accepted into the Mark-9 program. Hope Ravi and his Dad/handler Chris have many more wonderful years together.
